Swiggy’s Driver Org Head Shalabh Shrivastava Exits; Saurav Goyal Steps In

In a key leadership reshuffle, Swiggy’s Senior VP of Driver Org, Shalabh Shrivastava, has exited the company, as per sources familiar with the matter.

While Swiggy officially announced Saurav Goyal as the new leader for Driver and Delivery Operations earlier this week, it did not disclose Shrivastava’s resignation publicly.

👤 Who is Shalabh Shrivastava?

Shrivastava joined Swiggy in November 2024 after a decade-long stint at Flipkart, where he last served as VP and National Head of Large and Furniture Supply Chain. He played a strategic role in streamlining Swiggy’s delivery infrastructure during a phase of rapid demand spikes across both food delivery and Instamart verticals.

🔄 Leadership Shift: Goyal Takes the Reins

Saurav Goyal, who joined Swiggy in 2020, will now head the Driver & Delivery Org while also continuing as SVP of Business Finance until a replacement is named. Goyal has over 18 years of experience in companies like Ola and has been instrumental in Swiggy’s IPO preparation efforts.

🚴 Why This Role Matters

Swiggy’s Driver and Delivery operations team is responsible for managing the ecosystem of over 5 lakh delivery partners, who power logistics across 700+ Indian cities and support partnerships with 2.5 lakh+ restaurants.

In a fiercely competitive quick-commerce race with Blinkit and Zepto, maintaining operational efficiency and partner satisfaction is vital for Swiggy.

📉 Financial Snapshot

  • Q4 FY25 Operating Revenue: Rs 4,410 crore (↑45% YoY)
  • Q4 FY25 Net Loss: Rs 1,081 crore (↑95% YoY)

As Swiggy eyes IPO ambitions and scales its quick-commerce business, leadership agility in core operations like delivery logistics will be critical for the company’s path to profitability.
