This Startup Just Raised $1M to Make Weddings in India Smarter

New Delhi, July, 2025 — TheWeddingCompany.com, a wedding planning and fulfillment platform, has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was co-led by LVX (formerly LetsVenture) and Tremis Capital, with participation from notable angel investors including Chaitanya Ramalingegowda (co-founder of Wakefit), Ajith Pai (COO at Delhivery), and Arash Ferdowsi (co-founder of Dropbox).

Founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev, The Wedding Company aims to streamline India’s $130 billion wedding market by offering a technology-driven platform that connects couples with verified vendors across various services such as venues, photography, décor, catering, and logistics.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to expand operations into new cities, enhance product and technology offerings, and build a robust vendor partner network to standardize service delivery at scale.

“Weddings in India are large and complex,” said Pawan Gupta, co-founder of The Wedding Company. “While the market is large, there is no brand managing fulfillment at scale. TWC is building a technology-driven and operationally efficient planning and fulfillment platform.”

To date, The Wedding Company has managed over Rs 60 crore (~$7.2 million) worth of service orders, delivering over 1,000 weddings across eight cities. The company reports a monthly booking volume exceeding Rs 10 crore in service orders and Rs 1 crore in net monthly revenue. It recorded a Gross Order Value (GOV) of Rs 40 crore and is targeting 3x growth in FY26 with an annual revenue goal of Rs 120 crore.

The Wedding Company joins a growing list of startups aiming to digitize and organize India’s fragmented wedding services sector, competing with players like Meragi, Weddingz.in, Wedding Cloud, Shaadilogy, and Shaadi Baraati Event Management.
