Bengaluru | August 16, 2025 – Ola Electric Mobility showcased its most ambitious technology and product roadmap yet at its annual Sankalp 2025 event, unveiling indigenous innovations and next-gen EVs under its ‘India Inside’ vision.
Bharat Cell & Ferrite Motor: India’s Firsts
At the center of the announcement was the 4680 Bharat Cell, India’s first indigenously developed lithium-ion battery, designed for integration across Ola’s upcoming vehicle lineup. In parallel, Ola introduced the country’s first ferrite motor, eliminating dependence on rare-earth magnets. This breakthrough will be phased into production starting Q3 FY26.
Expanding EV Portfolio
Ola entered the sports scooter category with the launch of the S1 Pro Sport, priced at ₹1,49,999 and powered by 5.2kWh and 4kWh battery packs. Deliveries begin January 2026.
Other launches included:
- S1 Pro+ (₹1,69,999) – deliveries this Navratri
- Roadster X+ (₹1,89,999) – equipped with Bharat Cell
A booking discount of ₹10,000 is available until August 17.
The company also unveiled the Diamondhead prototype, a high-performance electric motorcycle capable of 0–100 kmph in just 2 seconds, with a targeted sub-₹5 lakh launch in CY27.
Gen 4 Platform: Scaling Beyond Two-Wheelers
Ola showcased its modular Gen 4 platform, adaptable for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, drones, and humanoids. Compared to its first-generation platform, Gen 4 delivers:
- 76% higher peak power
- 25% lower weight
- 15% better efficiency
- 41% cost reduction
MoveOS 6: AI at the Core
Alongside hardware, Ola released MoveOS 6, its AI-powered operating system with over 25 new features. Key highlights include Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and support for 11 Indian languages. The rollout begins in early 2026.
