Rocket Raises $15 Million to Accelerate AI-Powered App Development

Rocket, an AI-powered app-building platform that converts natural language into production-ready applications, has raised $15 million in a seed funding round led by Salesforce Ventures and Accel, with participation from Together Fund. Earlier this month, Entrackr had exclusively reported the deal.

Prior to this round, Rocket had raised over $9.5 million from investors including Accel, India Quotient, Together Fund, and Dholakia Ventures. The proceeds will be used to strengthen R&D, accelerate product development, and expand the company’s global presence, including establishing a North American headquarters in Palo Alto, California.

Product & Market

Founded by Vishal Virani, Rahul Shingala, and Deepak Dhanak, Rocket is designed to simplify application development in the AI era. Unlike tools that stop at code snippets or mockups, Rocket enables users to create fully functional, multi-page, production-ready applications in minutes, ranging from dashboards and internal tools to consumer-facing apps.

In just four months since launch, Rocket has reportedly attracted over 400,000 users across 180 countries, built 500,000 production-ready apps, and gained early traction with startups, agencies, and Fortune 100 companies.

Business Model & Traction

Rocket operates as a SaaS platform, monetizing through subscriptions and enterprise contracts. Its AI-first, production-ready architecture positions it against competitors like Retool, Bubble, and Glide, while offering a unique value proposition for rapid deployment of apps.

While Rocket has yet to file FY25 numbers, its standalone financials for FY24 show Rs 3.5 crore in revenue with losses rising 46% to Rs 11 crore, reflecting early-stage growth and investment in product and market expansion.

Final Take

Rocket is carving a niche in the AI-native application development space, enabling organizations globally to translate ideas into deployable apps within minutes, and positioning itself as a critical player in the evolving AI-driven software ecosystem.
