Founded in 2021 by Anurita Das, Genovation has built Mentis, the subcontinent’s first Made-in-India, privacy-first Agentic AI platform. Unlike conventional generative AI models, Mentis operates seamlessly across cloud, on-premise, and fully offline setups, eliminating reliance on external APIs while ensuring complete data security.
Mentis interprets natural language queries, delivers citation-backed insights, and generates downloadable reports and source code for transparency and auditability — features aimed at sectors such as defence, healthcare, manufacturing, and finance, where trust and reliability are paramount.
Genovation’s business model promises to deliver enterprise-ready AI at 15x lower costs compared to global peers like OpenAI and Anthropic’s Claude. With two pending patents, original IP, and acceptance into NVIDIA’s Inception accelerator, the startup combines India-first cost efficiency with deep technological innovation.
“Our mission is to empower enterprises with secure, affordable, and transparent AI systems designed for high-stakes environments,” said Anurita Das, founder of Genovation.
Final Take
As AI adoption accelerates, Genovation’s privacy-first and cost-efficient approach positions it as a credible challenger to global incumbents, with strong relevance for India’s enterprise sector and beyond.
