From PCOS Struggles to a Rs 60 Cr Wellness Brand: How Cosmix is Redefining Clean Nutrition in India

What began as a personal journey to heal from PCOS has grown into a Rs 60 crore wellness brand focused on clean, gut-friendly nutrition. Meet Vibha Harish and Soorya Jagadish, the visionary couple behind Cosmix, a plant-based supplement company that’s reshaping how India thinks about holistic health and sustainability.

🌱 The Origin: From Diagnosis to Discovery

In 2016, Vibha Harish was diagnosed with PCOS. Disillusioned by the short-term fixes offered by conventional medicine, she turned to Ayurvedic and plant-based remedies. These natural interventions transformed her health—and sparked the idea for Cosmix. Her goal? To create a brand that offered long-term, root-cause-based solutions for hormonal and metabolic health issues.

👩‍❤️‍👨 From Navy Duty to Full-Time Co-founder

While Vibha quit her job at Rolls Royce to build the brand, her husband Soorya—then serving in the Indian Navy—contributed behind the scenes. In 2021, he joined Cosmix full-time. The couple’s commitment led to a full-fledged product line that includes:

  • Plant-based protein supplements
  • Gut health aids (like My Happy Gut)
  • Sleep and immunity blends

🌿 What Makes Cosmix Different?

  • Ingredients from Indian farmers: From ashwagandha in Karnataka to strawberries in Mahabaleshwar and coffee beans in Chikmagalur—every ingredient is traceable and locally sourced.
  • No additives or bulking agents: Just herbs, spices, and fruits in potent form.
  • Lab-tested: All products are tested in FSSAI-approved and NABL-accredited labs for safety and purity.
  • Eco-friendly packaging: Biodegradable scoops and glass jars are standard, setting them apart in a plastic-heavy industry.

🧪 Ayurveda Meets Innovation

Formulated with the help of Ayurvedic doctors and nutritionists, Cosmix products include herbs like:

  • Jeera, ginger, triphala, Ashoka bark
  • Mulethi, fenugreek, fennel
  • Vanilla bean, Indonesian cacao, monk fruit

This blend of tradition and science makes their protein powders and blends not just effective, but also digestive-friendly and allergen-safe.

💬 What Customers & Experts Are Saying

“There’s no bloating or chalky aftertaste like whey protein. Cosmix is a game-changer.” – Jude Gonsalves, customer

“Their approach supports digestion, immunity, and hormone balance, all with clean ingredients.” – Dr. Ramakiran, Ayurvedic specialist

“I recommend Cosmix blends to patients dealing with PCOS and inflammation-related issues.” – Dr. Nidhi Tripathi, Gynaecologist

📈 From Bootstrap to Rs 60 Cr in Revenue

Despite being 100% bootstrapped, Cosmix has grown organically and consistently:

  • Founded: December 2019
  • Full-time team: 95+ across logistics, social media, operations, and R&D
  • Monthly revenue: Rs 6 Cr (FY 2024-25)
  • Best-sellers: My Happy Gut, Sleep Like a Baby, Plant-based Protein Powders

The pandemic played a role in their growth as wellness awareness surged, but the founders credit their customer-first philosophy and sustainability-first practices as the real fuel behind their success.

🌍 What’s Next for Cosmix?

Cosmix plans to expand internationally—but only after deeply understanding global customer needs.

“We’re not in a hurry. Every product is born from real problems, and we build only after listening to our customers.” – Vibha Harish
