iGoWise Mobility (iGo), a developer of smart electric trikes, has raised Rs 8.2 crore in a pre-seed funding round from ISB Angels, 888VC, and Guptaji VC. The capital will be deployed to enhance tooling and automation, expand customer experience and after-sales channels, drive R&D for new variants, and strengthen working capital to fulfill its current order book.

Founded in 2020 by Sravan K Appana, iGo builds rugged, intelligent EV platforms designed for urban India and Rural Bharat. Its first product, BeiGo, is an electric pickup trike aimed at bridging the gap between two-wheelers and larger vehicles. Equipped with patented anti-topple leaning technology, BeiGo offers superior handling, cornering, and ride comfort.

The company has collected over 1 lakh km of real-world usage data across diverse terrains and riders. Over the next 12–18 months, iGo plans to expand to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Panjim, deploying its first 1,500 trikes with fleet partners including Hala Mobility and Elektric Express.

iGo claims its patented anti-topple swivelling mechanism and on-demand self-balancing system make its trikes 5X more cost-effective, 3X more energy-efficient, and 2X more compact than global competitors. Built on the proprietary TwiiGo lightEV platform, the vehicles glide over potholes, scale steep slopes, navigate traffic efficiently, and feature triple-disc anti-skid CBS for enhanced safety.

The BeiGo Rugged Utility Vehicle is set for commercial launch within 32 months, promising riders not only fuel savings but an increase in income potential of up to Rs 7,500 per month. Key competitors in the segment include Zen Mobility, Vaidyuthi Mobility, and Speedloop Auto.

iGoWise Mobility’s funding and technology positioning underline the growth of affordable, efficient electric mobility solutions for India’s urban and semi-urban markets.
