Infosys Launches New Development Center at GIFT City to Drive FinTech Innovation

Infosys, India’s second-largest IT services firm, has inaugurated a brand-new Development Center (DC) at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This move reinforces Infosys’ vision to position India as a global leader in the financial technology space, while simultaneously boosting local employment and innovation.

A Strategic Leap Toward the Future of TechFin

  • The state-of-the-art facility is designed to accommodate over 1,000 employees working in a hybrid model.
  • It will act as a TechFin hub focused on delivering next-gen digital services for global BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) clients.
  • Infosys’ core focus areas at this hub will include:
    • Digital banking
    • Regulatory affairs
    • Trade finance
    • Capital markets
    • Cards and payments
    • Risk & compliance management

Powering Solutions with Next-Gen Technologies

Infosys will leverage a powerful tech stack to elevate service offerings:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI
  • Cloud computing
  • APIs
  • Cybersecurity
  • Blockchain technology

These technologies will drive cross-border digital transformation, enhance client proximity, and strengthen India’s role as a global FinTech leader.

Inauguration and Leadership Vision

The inauguration was attended by:

  • Bhupendrabhai Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat
  • Jayesh Sanghrajka, CFO, Infosys
  • Niladri Prasad Mishra and Rajneesh Malviya, Senior VPs, Infosys
  • Other senior leaders from Infosys and the Gujarat state government
