Mumbai | August, 2025 — In a defining move for India’s AI infrastructure, Ola’s AI venture Krutrim, founded by Bhavish Aggarwal, has partnered with data and AI platform leader Cloudera. The alliance is aimed at powering large-scale analytics and data lake capabilities for Krutrim Cloud, beginning with the Ola ecosystem and soon expanding to other enterprise customers.
Krutrim is building a vertically integrated cloud stack spanning compute, storage, data management, and AI models optimized for India’s diverse linguistic and cultural landscape. With Cloudera’s scalable data platform and consulting services, Krutrim is equipping its infrastructure to process real-time, high-volume datasets, accelerate AI training and inference, and deliver cost-efficient data solutions.
Navendu Agarwal, SVP and Head of Business at Krutrim, expressed confidence in combining infrastructure, data, and AI to create an enterprise-grade, India-centric cloud, saying the tie-up will empower clients with scalable and performant data lake solutions. Cloudera’s Mayank Baid added that the partnership aligns with their vision of “trusted enterprise AI through data,” and noted that Ola is already running mission critical workloads on this stack.
As AI adoption accelerates across India, collaborations like this are setting the stage for an era where homegrown platforms compete head-to-head with global giants built for India, and ready for the world.
