Metaforms Raises $9M to Automate Market Research With AI Agents

Bengaluru, July 2025 — India’s emerging AI infrastructure startup, Metaforms, has raised $9 million in a Series A round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund. The Bengaluru-based company is reimagining how global research agencies conduct surveys, process data, and manage operations with AI agents doing the heavy lifting.

Automating a $130B Industry

Founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, Metaforms builds AI tools that replace manual research tasks survey programming, data cleanup, QA, vendor coordination using natural language commands. Think of it as a no-code ops team tailored for the research industry.

The platform already processes 1,000+ surveys/month and serves 4 of the world’s top 20 research agencies. The company aims to scale this to 100,000+ surveys monthly in the next few years.

Strategic Focus

With fresh capital, Metaforms plans to triple its engineering team in Bengaluru, enhance its voice-based research capabilities, and build integrations with tools like SPSS, Decipher, and Confirmit. The startup is also working on automated reporting systems for insights professionals.

Why It Matters

Global research workflows are still stuck in Excel sheets and manual dashboards. By streamlining backend processes, Metaforms helps agencies focus more on strategy than ops without replacing human insight.

As AI infrastructure plays grow in visibility, Metaforms stands out by targeting a niche but valuable vertical market research ops.

Final Take
In an era of large language models and AI agents, Metaforms proves that deep-tech wins aren’t always flashy—they’re embedded. Founders who automate industry bottlenecks, not frontends, will unlock scale and trust.
