Dharana Capital, an India-focused growth-stage investment firm, has led a Rs 137 crore funding round in Petpooja, a cloud-based SaaS platform for restaurants. The round included a mix of primary and secondary capital, with participation from Ashish Gupta, co-founder of Helion Ventures; Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Varun Khaitan, and Raghav Chandra, co-founders of Urban Company; and Mukund Kulashekaran, Chief Business Officer at Urban Company.
Founded in 2011 by Parthiv Patel and Apurv Patel, Petpooja provides cloud-based billing and management solutions for restaurants. The company claims to serve over 100,000 restaurants across India, the Middle East, the United States, and Africa, spanning more than 140 cities, and processing over 7 million orders daily.
The newly raised capital will be used to expand the product portfolio, accelerate AI-driven automation, and strengthen customer support, positioning Petpooja to further scale its offerings for small and medium-sized food service businesses.
Commenting on the funding, Vamsi Duvvuri, Founder and Managing Partner at Dharana Capital, said, “As India’s food service ecosystem undergoes rapid digitization, Petpooja has emerged as the core technology backbone for restaurants. Their resilience and customer-first approach has set them apart, and we look forward to supporting them in this next chapter of growth.”
Parthiv Patel, Co-Founder and CEO of Petpooja, added, “Our partnership with Dharana marks an exciting new chapter for us. This round will help us accelerate product innovation and continue building solutions that help restaurants simplify their operations.”
The Series C funding is Petpooja’s first major round in four years and reflects growing investor confidence in cloud-based restaurant management software as the sector expands in India and internationally.
