India’s vehicle repair experience has long been plagued by delays, mistrust and unpredictable service quality. Ride N Repair, the country’s fastest-growing doorstep vehicle service startup, has now taken a decisive step to fix this broken system by acquiring Apna Mechanic, one of India’s most recognised garage franchise networks. Together, they are building India’s first AI-powered, real-time vehicle repair grid.
From Street-side Mechanic Calls to a National Tech Network
What began as a simple idea to connect stranded riders with nearby mechanics has grown into a technology driven platform operating across 27 cities. Apna Mechanic brings with it over 30 franchise workshops, more than 1,200 organic daily users and consistent monthly franchise inquiries. With this acquisition, Ride N Repair instantly scales its reach, trust network and operational capacity.
Technology at the Core of the Merger
Every Apna Mechanic workshop will transition into the Ride N Repair ecosystem. Instead of functioning as independent garages, they will now run on AI-enabled systems that predict service demand, assign verified mechanics in real time, route customer calls using geo-aware Auto-IVR, enable live service tracking and automate invoicing and payouts. The company is also preparing to launch a quick-commerce model for spare parts delivery, allowing franchises to access parts within minutes without maintaining inventory.
The Vision and the People Behind It
Founders Lakshya Khurana, an IIT Kanpur alumnus and former Meta software engineer, along with Shubham Tyagi, a Business Intelligence postgraduate from France with expertise in operations and digital growth, believe that technology should not replace human trust but strengthen it. Their mission is simple: make vehicle servicing as easy and reliable as booking a cab.
The Road Ahead
With this acquisition, Ride N Repair plans to expand into over 50 cities within a year, onboard 500 franchise partners and complete 1,000 vehicle services every day. This is not just a business deal it is a shift in how India experiences vehicle maintenance.
Ride N Repair isn’t just fixing vehicles. It’s repairing trust, speed and transparency in mobility.
