Tata Capital, the financial services arm of the Tata Group, has announced the launch of its Initial Public Offering (IPO), scheduled to open for subscription on October 6, 2025, and close on October 8, 2025. The company has filed its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), confirming these dates.

The IPO aims to raise between ₹16,500 crore and ₹17,500 crore, comprising a fresh issue of up to 210 million equity shares and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to 265.8 million equity shares by existing shareholders. The offering is expected to be one of the largest in India’s financial services sector this year.

The IPO is structured as a book-building issue, with shares offered at a face value of ₹10 each. The company plans to list its shares on both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The anchor investor subscription is set to begin on October 3, 2025, ahead of the public offering.

Tata Capital, with an Assets Under Management (AUM) of approximately ₹2.2 lakh crore as of March 31, 2025, operates across various segments, including retail, SME, corporate, infrastructure, and sustainable finance. The company aims to utilize the funds raised from the IPO to support its growth and expansion plans, enhancing its presence in the financial services sector.
